Pakistan’s economy improving: Miftah Ismail

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Economic Affairs, Miftah Ismail has said that Pakistan’s economic condition was improving as compared to the previous years.

The tax revenue and GDP were also increasing in the country, he said while talking to a private news channel. There was no threat to democratic system, he said.

The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government after coming into power had taken steps for strengthening the economy, he said. To a question he said the former prime minister had implemented the orders of supreme court regarding disqualification. Nawaz Sharif was not involved in any corruption, he said.

The PML-N government always worked for strengthening democratic system in the country, Miftah Ismail said. To another question he said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had taken many steps for bringing improvement in the GDP and tax revenue system.
