Gul Rahman for latest techniques to store goods at Peshawar Dry Port

PESHAWAR: The Collector Customs, Customs House Peshawar, Gul Rahman, has directed the customs authorities to look for modern techniques which can be adopted to attract companies for providing low cost storage of goods at the Dry Port Peshawar.

The collector discussed the revenue generated by Dry Port Peshawar during first 17 days of October of the current Financial Year and compared it with the revenue collection during the same time period in previous FY.

The collector customs was informed that the Dry Port Peshawar received Rs332.72million net revenue in 17 days of October against Rs234.8million revenue collected in first 17 days of previous FY 2016-17.

The collector appreciated the Deputy Collector at the Dry Port Peshawar for collection of extra revenue during 17 days of current month in October.

The Dry Port has earned Rs148.99million Customs Duty, Rs124.07million Sale Tax and Rs57.75million AIT during the above said period of current FY2017-18.

The collector customs lauded the revenue collection of the Dry Port station and said that more efforts are needed to achieve the target of revenue collection during current FY 2017-18.
