FBR sealed premises of Shalimar Film Industry on tax evasion

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sealed the Shalimar Film Industry on sales tax evasion of Rs 2 million.

According to the details, Regional Tax Office (RTO) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has stated action against the tax defaulter in this regading yester the RTO, Zone-II take s action against the Shalimar Film Industry and sealed the properties due to tax evaion.

FBR team, on the order of Commissioner Inland Revenue (CIR),Zone-III take action and sealed the properties of film industries. The same taxpayer was tax defaulter of rupees two million and fifty thousands.

The FBR team including Assistant Commissioner Salamat Ali Khan, Shiekh Irfan and Faisal Chaudhary locked the properties of Shalimar Film Industries.

Source told to Customs Today that FBR has already freed the bank account of same taxpayers and finally now the properties are seal. If the taxpayer will pay the tax liabilities then properties will be un-sealed otherwise according to the law FBR will acutioned and collect taxes.
