Quetta Customs seizes computer accessories worth Rs4.50m on Thursday

QUETTA: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations took into possession ten commercial non custom paid printers and others computer accessories worth Rs 4.50 million on Thursday afternoon.

The sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta Irfan Javed received creditable information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle commercial non custom paid Japan made printers and others computer accessories from Quetta to different cities.

He immediately constituted a raiding team. The team enhanced the vigilance on the Bara market and started a search operation of vehicles. During the search, the team intercepted a truck bearing registration no: HD-7665 registered of Hyderabad, which was heading out of city.

During the checking, the customs team recovered 10 commercial non custom paid Japan made printers and others computer accessories (100 key board, 500 mousses, 200 mother boards) and other items valued at Rs 4.50 million.

Customs team arrested two persons who were boarded on vehicle and were later identified as Nasir baig and Kamran Murtaza belongs.

Sources told that the Customs Intelligence and Investigations confiscated three non-duty-paid luxury vehicles and different parts of vehicles worth Rs9.50million on Wednesday morning.
