FBR imposes 50% regulatory duty on cosmetic items

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue, through SRO 1035(I)/2017, has imposed 50 percent regulatory duty on import of cosmetic items.

Experts said that the imposition of regulatory duty on such products would enhance burden on beauty industry and cost would be passed on to general public. They said that during past few years this industry had grown phenomenally and imported cosmetic products had flooded the markets.
