BKIAP stands surplus by receiving all duties & taxes during 15 days of October

PESHAWAR: The Bacha Khan International Airport generated surplus revenue of Rs2.17million of all duties and taxes during the first 15 days of October FY17-18 against the revenue collection of all taxes during the last month of September Financial Year 2017-18.

The Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIAP) earned Rs8.18million during initial 15 days of Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 while it did Rs5.91million under all the heads during 1st to 15th of September FY16-17.
According to details explained by Collector Gul Rehman of MCC Peshawar that the performance of the BKI Airport has been good during the current month against the previous month of September FY 17-18. During first 15 days of October, the BKIA received Rs1.63million as Customs Duty while it did Rs0.55million of miscellaneous duties and taxes.

The BKI Airport collected Rs0.13million as Regulatory Duty (RD) whereas it did Rs3.52million of Sales Tax (ST) and it earned Rs0.28million of ST VM Imports. During initial 15 days of October FY17-18, the BKIA got Rs2.35million of Additional Income Tax.
He said the BKIA Peshawar generated Rs5.91million as all duties and taxes during 1st to 15th of September FY17-18 while it did Rs1.53million of CD whereas it received Rs0.25million as miscellaneous duties and taxes. It collected Rs0.08million of Redemption Duty on Imports while it did Rs2.32million of ST. The collector told CT that the BKIA got Rs0.28million of ST VM on Imports. The BKIA Peshawar earned Rs1.45million as AIT during 1st to 15th of September FY17-18.
