24 power projects to be executed across country under CPEC: Senate

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior, Muhammad Talal Chaudhry has informed the Senate that five power projects having capacity to generate 2520 megawatts electricity have so far been completed under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project in the country.

Replying to a question during the Question Hour, Talal Chaudhry said that two of these projects have been completed in Punjab and three in Sindh province.

To a question, he said 24 projects will be completed under CPEC all over the country that will help overcome energy shortage in the country and end power loadshedding.

Talal Chaudhry said out of these, 13 projects will be completed in Sindh, 5 in Punjab, 3 in Balochistan, one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 2 projects will be completed in Azad Kashmir.
