Quetta Customs I&I seizes non duty paid goods electronic goods worth Rs7.8m on Monday

QUETTA: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations seized non-duty paid movies, cameras, watches, imported perfumes and electronic accessories worth Rs 7.8 million on Monday morning.

The sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta Iran Javed received creditable information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle non duty paid movies cameras, watches, imported perfumes and electronic accessories from Quetta to different cities.

He immediately constituted a raiding team. The team enhanced the vigilance on the Quetta Highway Road and started a search operation of vehicles. During the search, the team intercepted a truck bearing registration no: QBL-7729 registered of Quetta, which was heading out of city.

During the checking, the customs team recovered 30 non duty paid Japan made movie cameras, 100 imported non duty paid watches, 500 bottles of imported perfumes and electronic accessories include 30 LED monitors and 5,000 meter hard electric wires, worth Rs 7.8 million. Customs team seized all items and arrested four persons who were boarded on vehicle and were later identified as Sajid Sadozai, Haroon Imtiaz, Wahid Jan and Muzaffar Ali.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations registered FIR against smugglers, in initial investigation smugglers said we were going to Hyderabad then Karachi.

Before one week Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations seized non-duty paid air conditioners (split) and different parts of windows A/C commercial non custom paid molding machines and others things worth Rs6.78 million and arrested three smugglers launch FIR.
