MCC Quetta stands out in generating of Rs767m as duties & taxes during October

QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate Quetta earned Rs767million surplus duties and taxes against the assigned revenue target under the same heads during October 2017-18. The Federal Board of Revenue allocated Rs1248m revenue target to the Quetta collectorate under all the heads while it generated Rs2015million during the month of October 2017-18.

According to details explained by Collector Model Customs Collectortae Quetta Ashraf Ali while talking to Customs Today, the Customs Quetta Collectorate showed an impressive performance under all the heads during October FY2017-18. The Quetta collected Rs854million as Customs Duty (CD) against the earmarked target of Rs547million. The collectorate received Rs267million extra revenue against above said allocated revenue target of CD.
The collector said the collectorate was assigned Rs452million as Sales Tax (ST) during October 17-18 whereas it got surplus revenue of Rs777million against the assigned target of ST. The MCC Quetta earned extra revenue of Rs325million against the earmarked revenue target as ST.
He said the Quetta Customs collected Rs39million of Federal Excise Duty (FED) against the allocated revenue target of Rs.22 million. The Collectorate of Quetta generated extra revenue of Rs17million against the earmarked target of FED during October FY17-18.
The Collectorate of Quetta received Rs345million as Withholding Tax (WHT) while it was assigned revenue target of Rs227million. The collector told CT that the MCC Quetta got Rs118million extra revenue of WHT during October FY17-18.
