Sports playing vital role in promotion of healthy activities:  Chaudhary Amjad Latif

FAISALABAD: The healthy sports activities are imperative to build a healthy society and in this connection the efforts of the Federal Revenue Alliance Union of employment (FRAE) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) along with government is highly appreciable, said Chaudhary Amjad Latif General Secretary FRAE Faisalabad.

He was talking to the players during a friendly match played between the District Bar Association (DBA) and teams of Regional Tax office Faisalabad in Bohranwali Ground here.

He said that the sports were included in the long list of departments devolved to the provinces. However, despite of this fundamental change the Federal government continued to take various steps to encourage the talented sportsmen.

He also appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government for the promotion of healthy sports activities in this province and said that the role of government employees cannot be ignored in the promotion of healthy sport activities. Underlining the importance of sports he further said that it not only creates discipline in the younger generation. but also harness their God gifted qualities enabling them to play their active role in the national uplift. He lauded the efforts of Federal Revenue Alliance Union of employment (FRAE) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Faisalabad for making sincere efforts for the promotion of sports and said that other important FBR departments should also patronize different sports at different levels.

Earlier, President FRAE Faisalabad Main Muhjahid introduced Amjad Latif with the Federal Board of Revenue and District Bar association ( DBA ) teams.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner ( D.C ), Headquaters Bilal Ahmed Regional Tax office ( RTO ) Faisalabad and Main Mujahid participated in the concluding ceremony of prize distribution. He also presented a trophy to the captain of the winning team Toheed khan RTO Faisalabad.

In his brief address, He told that the FRAE Faisalabad will continue its efforts for the promotion of healthy sports activities in addition to serving its valued members. He assured his full supports in organizing more and more sports competitions.

Secretary General Choudhary Amjad Latif told that the FRAE has played many friendly fixtures with local teams and now we are planning to play friendly matches with other FBR teams of the country.

Earlier, the District Bar Association (DBA) team playing first gave a target of 229 runs during this 25 over match while the Regional Tax Office Faisalabad win Match by 231 Runs in 24.5 Overs. At the end, Second Last Ball of the Ending over RTO team opener Mudassar Ali chased the match. And he is man of the Match player.
