FBR issues notices to 1,000 tax evaders

SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued show-cause notices to 1,000 traders and industrialists in the Gujranwala Division for concealing facts in their annual tax returns regarding purchase and sale of vehicles and properties.

According to the FBR officials, the FBR had got complete details of these 1,000 people as they did not provide records of sale and purchase of luxury vehicles and properties to the Federal Board of Revenue.

The FBR had also formed 12 special recovery teams for recovery of taxes from 1,000 tax-evaders in the Gujranwala Division’s districts, including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala.
