ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to start inquires against the corrupt officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Customs. In this regard, an initial list of corrupt employees has almost been prepared on the basis of information collected by the efficient NAB officers, sources said.

The NAB sources reveal that NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javaid Iqbal has carefully deliberated on the ongoing inquiries against the FBR officials and some other cases related to the FBR employees which showed that the level of corruption in the board is unmatched with any other government organization. Therefore, NAB has decided to eliminate this menace from the FBR and action will be taken against the corrupt officials.
