Food group exports increased by 17.52 percent in Q1

ISLAMABAD: Food group exports into the country increased by 17.52 percent during the first quarter of current fiscal year (July-September) as compared to the same period of last year, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

According to the data provided by PBS, Food group worth $742,391 were exported during the first quarter of current year as compared to $631,731 of last year.

Rice worth $320,243 were exported during the first quarter of current year as compared to $242,694 of last year.

Rice exports into the country increased by 31.95 per cent during the first quarter of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.

Basmati worth $90,391 were exported during the first quarter as compared to $88,772 of last year. Basmati exports into the country increase by 2.43 per cent during the first quarter of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.

Others worth $229,312 were exported during the first quarter as compared to $153,922 of last year. Others exports into the country increased by 48.98 per cent during the first quarter of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.
