Customs Court directs to arrest absconders involved in mis-declaration

KARACHI: The Customs Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rasdhi directed investigation officer to arrest the absconding suspects namely Sohail Umer and Muhammad Nazim Minai son of Aslam Minai, who were booked in a case of mis-declaration.

During the hearing investigation officer produced First Information Report (FIR) before the court and informed that the customs officials registered a FIR against the above mentioned suspects, who are still absconders, he said that customs authority trying to arrest them and when they arrested will be produced before the court.

After his arguments, court has taken FIR on record and directed investigation officer to file charge sheet against suspects on next date of hearing.

According to the prosecution case was registered for violation of under section 2 (s) read with serial no 2 of SRO 566 (1)/2005 16, 32 (1) 32 (2) 32A, 131, 192 of Customs Act 1969 read with section 6, 7, 8 of the control of narcotics substances act, 1997 and section read with section 4 of the drags act, 1176 and other section.
