Mardan ASO seizes huge quantity of ammunition along with offending vehicle

MARDAN: The Customs Anti Smuggling Organization seized huge quantity of China made ammunition and arrested two smugglers along with offending vehicle.

According to details told by Gul Rehman Marwat Collector Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar that on tip of information shared by sources of Fazli Shakoor Deputy Collector Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) the ASO squad form a picket at Nowshera and intercepted a Suzuki Pick-up coming which was coming from Nowshera city.

The Collector informed Customs Today that after interception of above said pickup the squad made thoroughly searching of offending (vehicle use for carrying smuggled goods) vehicles the Customs squad find and seized huge quantity of ammunition comprises 34 numbers of foreign origin 12 boor rifles and 21 numbers of 30 boor pistils made in China.

He said that after interception of vehicles the squad also arrested the two notorious possessors of illegal ammunition as for as seized the rifles and pistols and bring them to State Ware house. ASO seized the vehicles which was coming from Nowshera and was heading towards Malakand Agency.

The Collector told that FIR has been registered against the arrested smugglers according to Customs Act of 1969 and further investigation are under process, Gul Rehman added that he has made an appreciation call to the ASO staff who took part in said operation of illegal ammunition.
