KARACHI: A Sindh High Court’s customs appellate bench has ordered officials of Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations to produce a vehicle before the court on Nov 16.
The bench, comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Omar Sial, heard a petition filed by Fahad Bangash who challenged the confiscation of a Toyota Land Cruiser, model 1992 on allegation of being smuggled one. The senior member of the bench referred/recalled order passed by him in a Special Customs Reference Election (SCRA) 263 0f 2010 and said that it was astonishing that the customs is detaining 22 year old model. The bench ordered officer concerned to produce the vehicle before the Nazir of SHC on Nov 16.
