Customs Preventiv, ANF recover huge quantity of heroin from Wagah Border

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team deputed at Wagah Border, in a joint operation with Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), recovered a huge quantity of heroin from a bogie of cargo train. The fine quantity heroin was tactfully hidden in the secret parts of the bogie.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Land Freight Unit received information that a huge quantity of heroin is hidden in a bogie of freight train. He immediately constituted a team which with the support of Anti Narcotics Force team raided a passenger train stationed at Wagah Border and recovered a huge quantity of heroin. Sources said that the market value of seized heroin is Rs 2.5 million. The sources said that the fine quantity heroin was hidden in a pipe of the bogie.

Customs Land Freight Unit seized the entire heroin and after registered a case against the unknown culprits have started further investigations to reach out actual accused persons behind this smuggling attempt. Further investigations are still under process till the filing of this report.
