Investment of trillions of rupees under CPEC to open new vistas: Farooq Haider

MIRPUR: JK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Tuesday said the investment of trillions of rupees in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) – affiliated projects would bring about prosperity to the country and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

He was addressing the 7th meeting of the Joint Working Group of CPEC. The Prime Minister said that CPEC was game changer not only for the country but for the whole region and our coming generations would benefit from this Corridor.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal was also present on the occasion. Prime Minister said under CPEC, AJK had got an economic zone including the construction of roads at Mirpur, Mangla, Muzafarabad and Mansehra.

Farooq Haider said CPEC was a gigantic project of prosperity and development which had become a reality and lots of subsidiary schemes were being carried out across the country.

He said that One Belt One Road Project was big breakthrough for bringing East and West closer for economic prosperity.

He said the economic development in AJK was the aim of his government while moral and diplomatic struggle for the innocent Kashmiris living under the Indian occupation would continue until their liberation.
