Professional tax in Sukkur to be completed by March: Chawla

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has directed Divisional GIS Survey Manager Urban Unit to complete the survey of property and professional tax in Sukkur with the support of concerned Excise and Taxation staff by March 31.

This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Tuesday, said a statement. Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Haleem Shaikh, Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, PD Munir Zardari and representatives of The Urban Unit also attended the meeting.

DG Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui briefed the meeting regarding overall progress and smooth conduct of property listing survey in Sukkur.

The meeting was briefed that B-1 Ward would be surveyed as a Pilot and it would be replicated to other Wards. The Minister for ET & NC Mukesh Chawla asked the officers concerned to provide complete support to the staff assigned for the purpose, adding that all legal aspects must be kept in mind to avoid any problem.

The DG ET & NC Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui assured the chair that continued departmental support was being provided to the members of the team lead.
