FAISALABAD: FIA teams here arrested two human traffickers for extorting money from citizens over bogus promises.
FIA spokesman said here Friday that FIA police registered separate cases against two human smugglers including Arif Ali resident of Chak No.140-JB and Muhammad Irshad resident of Toba Tek Singh for extorting money amounting to Rs 3,50,000 from a citizen Irshad Ahmad. He was promised to be sent to Saudi Arabia.
Another Rs 1,90,000 were taken from Muhammad Mazhar for sending him to Dubai. The accused neither returned the money nor sent the citizens abroad.
FIA teams conducted raids and arrested both the accused Arif Ali and Muhammad Irshad and locked them behind bars for further investigation.
