Faisalabad ASO seizes smuggled goods in third week of November

FAISALABAD: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) conducted various operations against smugglers on the special instructions by Additional Collector Ghulam Mustafa and recovered smuggled goods worth Rs9,813,464 during third week of November.

Sources told Customs Today, that Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani constituted a team to curb smuggling. The ASO team consisted Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar Superintendent Faizi Raza, Muhammad Nasir, Muhammad Munir, Umar Bhatti, Inspectors and Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah (sepoys) seized non duty paid milk powder and whey powder 3250 kilograms worth Rs975,000 skimmed milk 7625 kilograms worth Rs1,850,000 Toyota Corolla car bearing registration no: ASB-694 Rs350,000 shoes with carrier vehicle no: LES-5599 Rs2,138,464 Dumper truck Rs4,000,000 and Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs5,00,000 were brought into the country without payment of custom duty and taxes.
