MCC Islamabad AB stands surplus against CD target during three weeks

ISLAMABAD: The Accompanied Baggage (AB) Section of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad collected Rs780000 extra revenue against an earmarked proportional revenue target of Customs Duty during three weeks of November Financial Year 2017-18.

The AB was assigned a proportional revenue target of Rs1.40million as Customs Duty (CD) whereas it earned Rs2.18million of CD during first three weeks of Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.
The sources of the AB received Rs1.42million as CD during first three weeks of corresponding November FY16-17.

Sources added that the AB posted a 156% growth during three weeks of November FY17-18 against the assigned proportional target while it showed 109.15% average of achievement against the allocated entire monthly revenue collection target of November FY17-18 of CD.
The Customs Accompanied Baggage (AB) Section of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad seized various smuggling goods worth Rs6.398million during 1st Quarter of FY17-18.
The sources told CT that the AB is trying its best to not only achieve the earmarked CD target but also surpass it for the month of November 2017-18 under the leadership of Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad.
