Manufacturing sector playing vital role in development of our country: Haroon Akhtar

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhter Khan has said that manufacturing sector is playing very important role in the development of the country. Pakistan’s economy continued to expand with real GDP growing by 5.3 percent in FY2017-18, the highest growth achieved during the last 10 years.

A healthy continued improvement in manufacturing sector has contributed to this broad based growth. He stated this while talking during a meeting with representatives of of All Pakistan Cable & Conductors Manufacturing Association at FBR House.

The representatives briefed Haroon Akhtar about the issues and challenges facing by the manufacturing sector in the country and presented a recommendation and proposals for their solution and said Economic activity in the manufacturing sector can be increased if government paid some more attention on the sector.

Special Assistant to prime minister assured the delegation that Federal Board of Revenue will consider their proposals and recommendation and Government will take some healthy initiatives for the development of the manufacturing sector.
