ISLAMABAD: Member Customs Zahid Khokhar has said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is moving a summary after consultations with the stakeholders over the recently imposed regulatory duty on certain items.
The Member Customs Zahid Khokhar revealed this during the meeting of a sub-committee of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance. He said that the committee would be informed over the development in the next meeting as things mature.
The meeting, held in the Parliament, decided to expand the scope of ongoing pending inquiries against alleged corrupt officers in the FBR, with the direction to submit details in cases of mega tax frauds.
The main agenda of the sub-committee was to analyse the grade-wise list of all inquiries conducted against its officers by FBR.
