PMEX index closes at 3,043 points

KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited’s commodity index on Monday closed at 3,043 points. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs 3.836 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,447, said PMEX release on Tuesday.

The major business was contributed by gold Rs 1.424 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs 1.176 billion,WTI crude oil Rs 738.434 million, silver Rs 169.568 million, DJIA Rs 84.492 million, platinum Rs 81.924 million, NSDQ100 Rs 53.800 million, copper Rs 53.480 million, natural gas Rs 35.488 million, brent crude oil Rs 11.500 million and SNP500 Rs 7.479 million.
