LAHORE: The Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti Smuggling Organization impounded a non duty paid car allegedly owned by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Firdous Ashiq Awan.

It was verified immediately that the car is non-custom paid and smuggled as the chassis number had been tempered. The arrested driver confessed before the customs team that the vehicle belonged to Firdous Ashiq Awan.

On the other hand, Awan has rejected all claims and stated that the vehicle belonged to her cousin which she borrowed after having an accident with her own car. “Both the car and driver belong to my cousin Tehsin Awan who should be asked whether the vehicle is legal or illegal,” she argued before the media.
