MUSCAT: One thousand and four hundred (1,400) cartons of cigarettes and 179 kg of tobacco were seized by customs officials at the Khatmat Malaha border port, the department announced.
“Customs in Khatmat Malaha port thwarted the smuggling of more than 1,400 cartons of banned cigarettes that were hidden professionally,” Oman Customs announced online, adding, “Oman Customs thwarted the smuggling of more than 179 kg of tobacco.”
