The Anti-Smuggling Unit also impounded 20,116 yard of foreign origin cloth and 919 kg of black tea from another vehicle. The ASU too seized foreign origin medical drugs, tablets and blood pressure kits in December during FY 2017-18.

Collector Customs Gull Rahman lauded the performance made by the Anti-Smuggling Unit. The Collector Customs informed Customs Today that the anti-smuggling campaign was launched in order to frustrate the smuggling of NDP items for which serious complaints had been received by the Federal Board of Revenue Peshawar region.
