NPC approves 9 contracts worth over 4.7bln Afghanis

KABUL: Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Commission (NPC) held on Monday, the presidential palace said in a statement.

The meeting approved 9 contracts worth over 4.7 billion Afghanis which are as follow: Contract on Hairatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway’s maintenance and operation project

The meeting also tasked the ministry of interior to provide the national police force with necessary materials during winter, the statement went on to say. Discussing railway contract and scholarship expenditures of Afghan university students in Turkey, India and Malaysia, the president tasked the related ministries to prepare specific and effective drafts on educational and capacity building programs and present them to the meeting in future.
