Faisalabad Customs recovers Rs 11.115m from two companies

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate recovery branch recovered Rs 11.115 million in wake of differential amounts from two companies.

Recovery branch Assistant Collector Ameer Ahmed said that the Faisalabad Customs has also started a survey for the recovery of taxes from tax defaulters companies.

He added that under the supervision of Superintendent Rana Mukhtar Ahmed a team comprising Inspector Muhammad Ramzan Shahid, Inspector Muhammad Akram and clerk Abdul Sattar has been formed. The deputy collector said that operation has been initiated against the tax defaulters.

Customs authorities issued many notices to different companies asking them to clear outstanding tax amount to avoid stern action. After receiving the final tax notice the management of M/s Rana Textile, Usman Trading a deposited the evaded amount of taxes and duties.

It is necessary to mention here that as the current fiscal year is going to expire soon Customs Recovery authorities are using all available resources to recover outstanding amount from defaulters.

As per details, the department recovered Rs11.065 million from M/s Rana Textile Mills and Rs0.050 from M/s Usman Tariq and co company. Customs Recovery Branch expedited their efforts to recover outstanding tax amount from defaulter companies.
