MOSCOW: The Belarusian Taxes and Duties Ministry and the Federal Tax Service of Russia are working on the rules for an automatic exchange of tax information through a secure link. The move will help reduce considerably the time to exchange data between the tax administrations, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Taxes and Duties Ministry.

The new format of cooperation was discussed at a meeting of the working group on tax control and tax information exchange between the two countries in St Petersburg. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Alexei Overchuk and Deputy Taxes and Duties Minister of Belarus Ella Selitskaya. The parties stressed that the mutually beneficial exchange between the two countries would include a wide range of data on Russian and Belarusian taxpayers for the collection of reliable information and the control of tax payment accuracy. The delegation of the Taxes and Duties Ministry also got familiar with the work of the Federal Tax Service for St. Petersburg.
