FBR cricket team won friendly match against US embassy

ISLAMABAD: The cricket team of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) defeated the Embassy of USA cricket team by five wickets in a friendly match played at Junoon Cricket Ground.

FBR Chairman Tariq Mehmood Pasha and Member Administration Tasneem Rehman have congratulated the FBR cricket team and lauded their performance in the match.

Captain of the United States embassy cricket team won the toss and decided to bat first. During the play, US embassy cricket team made 161 runs in the set overs. From the US embassy, Kahwar made 30 runs while Nafees made 45 runs and Asghar 30 runs.

From the Federal Board of Revenue cricket team, bowler Zahid Mehmood has sent four batsmen back to pavilion in  just giving 20 runs while Rashid Abbasi took three wickets by giving 26 runs. Bowler Hujjat Ullah and Taqweem Abbasi each got one wicket. The FBR cricket team achieved the target of 161 runs just in 21.1 overs with the loss of five wickets.

FBR cricket team batsman Mazhar Riaz made 45 runs which includes 8 fours while Saeed Chauhdary made 44 runs with help of one six and 7 fours and remain not out. Mateen Shah also made 25 runs. From U.S. Embassy cricket team bowler Nafees and Asghar got two wickets each.
