NAB initiates internal accountability thru evaluation, performance review

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started its own accountability through annual evaluation and performance review at the head office and regional office level.

NAB Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal has directed NAB’s Inspection and Monitoring Team to conduct annual evaluation and performance review of NAB Headquarters and all the Regional Bureaus of NAB under comprehensive grading system on the basis of their performance of last year i.e. 2017 during the months of January and February, 2018 and submit report in March 2018.

The deficiencies of NAB Headquarters and all the Regional Bureaus of NAB under comprehensive grading system would not only be pointed out but also necessary action will also be taken against inefficient and corrupt officials of NAB on the basis of comprehensive grading system and Internal Accountability Mechanism. The officials would be granted ample opportunity to clarify their position or charges leveled against them about inefficiency, corruption and corrupt practices.
