Justice Aisha A Malik heard the appeal filed by M/s Big Bird Company in which the counsel for appellant argued that the appeals filed by the complainant are under proceeding before the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Instead of deciding appeals, FBR is issuing notices to the food company.

The petitioner prayed that, until the decision of appeals, the issuance of tax notices is illegal. He prayed the court to order FBR to decide case filed by the appellant on priority basis.

In another case, Lahore High Court ordered Commissioner Inland Revenue (CIR) to decide the case filed by the M/s Anjum Textile Mills after hearing the comments filed by the appellant.

Counsel for the appellants argued before the court that FBR was sent tax notices to the appellant for extra tax that was deposited by the appellant but after that FBR sent Rs4 million tax notice more that is burden on the taxpayers. He prayed before the court to suspend notice sent by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

After hearing the arguments from appellant side, Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to the commissioner Inland Revenue to decide case.
