Customs Int’l Mail Office earns marginal revenue during December

ISLAMABAD: The Customs International Mail Office of the Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad generated Rs2.253million of revenue under the heads of duties and taxes during the month of December Fiscal Year 2017-18.

According to details given by Ali Asad, Assistant Collector, International Mail Office (IMO), that the IMO received Rs3.97million’s value business during the month of December FY17-18. The IMO collected Rs0.529million of Customs Duty while it earned Rs0.583million as Sales Tax (ST) whereas the IMO earned Rs0.007million of Additional Sales Tax (AST).

The IMO got Rs0.588million under the head of Withholding Tax (WHT). The IMO generated Rs0.110million of Regulatory Duty (RD) and earned Rs0.372million as additional Customs Duty (ACD).
The IMO showed satisfactory performance station-wise which comprises IMO Rawalpindi, GPO Islamabad and GPO Rawalpindi. The IMO Rawalpindi collected Rs1.141million revenue under all the heads whereas the GPO Islamabad earned Rs0.726million under all the heads of duties and taxes. The GPO Rawalpindi’s IMO Section generated Rs0.385million under all the heads during the month of December Fiscal Year 2017-18.
