LAHORE: The Special Court on Thursday sent a Czech woman heroin smuggler to jail on judicial remand of 14 days. She was arrested with nine kilograms heroin at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday and was brought to the court by a team of Customs Investigation and  Prosecution (I&P).

The 21-year-old woman, identified as Tereza Hluskova, was attempting to smuggle heroin from Lahore to Abu Dhabi. She was in Pakistan on a three-month family visit visa which was issued on November 15 and was valid till February 14. The Customs officials have refused to hand over the woman to Anti-Narcotics Force officials and was shifted to the Customs House.
