Gwadar Customs seizes huge quantity of hashish worth Rs5.60m on Friday

GWADAR: The Customs Collectorate Gwadar has impounded huge quantity of hashish and some luxury vehicles tyres worth more than Rs 5.60 million on Friday.

Sources told Customs Today, that operation against smuggled items and non-duty-paid luxury vehicles is going on in full swing and several raids have been conducted during the previous month of December and operation against smuggled items is still going on during the current month of January.

Sources told that deputy collector Gwadar constituted a team of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Mushahid Ali and others. The team, during a search operation on Jewani Road, intercepted a truck bearing registration No: TJS-731 which was going out of the city.

During the raids, the customs team impounded 10 kilograms of hashish and 50 luxury vehicles tires worth Rs 5.60 million. The customs team arrested 3 smugglers involved in smuggling and registered an FIR against them and started investigations.
