Customs Peshawar fares well by earning Rs310.34m comparatively more revenue

PESHAWAR: The Customs House Peshawar has collected Rs1196.14million revenue gain in 17 days of January Financial Year 2017-18 against Rs885.8million generated in 17 days of January during previous FY2016-17.

The Customs House Peshawar, in this way, has earned Rs310.34million more revenue this year in 17 days of January against the amount done during 17 days of January in previous FY 2016-17.

This was stated by sources at the Customs House Peshawar on Wednesday while talking with Customs Today.

The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar has surpassed the revenue collected during 17 days of January which has become possible due to the strict rules applied by Collector Customs Gull Rahman.

The MCC Peshawar has got Rs520.76million Customs Duty in 17 days of January during current FY2017-18 which is Rs140.18million more than the amount of Rs380.58million generated in 17 days of January during previous FY2016-17.

The Peshawar Customs has collected Rs459.11million revenue under the head of Sale Tax during 17 days of January in current FY2017-18 which is Rs58.53million more than Rs400.58million received under the head of Sale Tax during 17 days of January in previous FY 2016-17.

The Peshawar Customs, in this manner, has generated Rs204.37million revenue as withholding tax in 17 days of January against Rs156.87million which was earned in the same period of time during previous FY2016-17.

MCC Peshawar, in this way, generated Rs47.5million more revenue than the amount produced during the same period of time during previous FY2016-17.

In the same way, the Customs House Peshawar has collected Rs2million more revenue of Federal Excise Duty on imports and showed revenue collection of Rs10.90million revenue against Rs8.1million as FED generated by the Customs House Peshawar.

The customs sources lauded the sharp skills of Collector of Customs House Peshawar along with the Assistant Collectors and Deputy Collectors for going surplus in the collection of more duties than the earmarked targets displayed during 17 days of January in previous FY 2016-17.
