Customs Peshawar gets Rs321.99m relatively surplus earning during half of January

PESHAWAR: The MCC Peshawar received an additional revenue of Rs321.99million under all the heads during a first half of January FY 17-18 against a revenue collection during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.

According to details given by official sources of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar that it earned a revenue of Rs844.99million under the head of all taxes during a first half of the Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 against a collection of Rs523.00million under the same head during the same period of previous FY16-17.
The MCC Peshawar generated Rs349.59million under the head of Customs Duty during a first half of FY2017-18 against a collection of Rs149.43million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17. Sources notified CT that the collectorate collected an extra revenue of Rs200.16million during a current half month of FY17-18 against a collection during the same period of FY16-17.
The official told the correspondent that, during a first half of January FY17-18, the Collectorate of Peshawar got Rs330.45million of Sales Tax (ST) against a revenue collection of Rs223.88million during the same period of corresponding FY16-17. The collectorate generated Rs106.57million of extra revenue under the head of ST during a first half of January FY17-18 against a collection during the same period of FY16-17 under the same head.
It was told that, during a first half of January FY17-18, the Collectorate of Peshawar received Rs5.95million as Federal excise Duty (FED) while it received Rs4.00million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17. The collectorate earned Rs1.00million of extra revenue during a first half of January FY17-18 against the same period of FY16-17 under the head of FED.
The Peshawar Collectorate collected Rs159.00million of Income Tax (IT) during a first half of January FY17-18 against a revenue collection of Rs136.69million during the same period of FY16-17. The collectorate got an extra revenue of Rs22.31million extra revenue during a first half of January FY17-18 against a revenue collection during the same period of FY16-17 under the head of ST.
