ISLAMABAD: The CPEC is a flagship of the leadership of Pakistan and China. It is part of the vision of President Xi and Chinese Premier H.E Li Keqiang who conceived the idea of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)”.

Convener of Pak-China Parliamentary Friendship Group Senator Saleem Mandviwalla has hosted a dinner in honor of Ambassador of People’s Republic of China H.E Mr. Yao Jing in Islamabad.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said “Over the last two decades, the two countries have made a strategic shift by moving in the direction of investment and economic cooperation.
He said “We worked hard to hand over Gawadar Port to China. He recall whenever he met with Win Ja Bao, ex-premier of China, he used to ask as to when are you handing over Gawadar Port”.
I take pride in the fact that CPEC is the culmination of discussions between President Zardari and the Chinese leadership.
