Customs Central Region posts 41pc growth: Zeba Hai Azhar

LAHORE: Customs Central region chief collector Zeba Hai Azhar said that the security of the business environment is a must for the sustainable growth of economic development.” She said that WCO and regional authorities have been endeavoring making the business and trade more secure and swift. She said that the Customs has an imminent role to play for making the business environment secure and safe.

Addressing the ceremony on the occasion of International Customs Day Zeba Hai Azhar said also mentioned that the custom central region posted 41 percent in collection of customs duty exceeding the target by 13pc while anti-smuggling activities have cases also increased by 36 percent in terms of registration of case and 151 percent in terms of value of the goods impounded during the six months of first two quarters.
