Multan Customs collected Rs.2459.551m till January 27

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has attained assigned revenue collection target of January 2017-18 in first twenty five days of January.

According to details, Multan Customs was assigned Rs2109.03 million revenue collection target under head of customs duty, sales taxes, federal excise duty (FED) and withholding taxes (WHT) for the month of January 2017-18.

The Customs Collectorate has surpassed customs duty collection by collecting Rs.737.047 million against the Rs.633.36 million collected during 25 days of January. Customs Collectorate Multan has collected 16.4 percent excess revenue collection for the first twenty five days of January of 2017-18. Revenue collection has been accelerated at Multan Customs due to initiatives taken by department to optimize revenue collection.

The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs1714.213 million against Rs. 1449.91 million in wake of sales taxes for the first 25 days of January. Collectorate of Customs posted 26 growth in the collection of Sales taxes against the assigned task during January.

Multan Customs has made collection of Rs.3.810 million under the head of Federal Excise of Duty in the first 25 days of January and Collectorate was assigned revenue collection target of Rs.8.06 million during the month of January.

Multan Customs collected Rs.4.476 million in wake of withholding tax against Rs.17.70 million in the first 25 days of January 2017-18.

The Model of Customs Collectorate has also collected Rs.0.005 million additional sales taxes during first 25 days of January. Meanwhile Collectorate of Multan Customs collected Rs.2459.551 million in the first 25 days of January and surpassed the assigned revenue task of January.
