Multan ASO seizes non duty paid vehicles& goods of worth Rs11.4m till January 25

MULTAN: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Multan has seized non-duty paid goods and vehicles worth of Rs11.4 million during the first twenty five days of January.

Sources told Customs Today, that Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has initiated a crackdown against smuggled goods and vehicles in the jurisdiction on the directions of Federal Board of Revenue. Multan Customs has seized four various non-duty paid foreign origin vehicles including Toyota Vitz, Toyota Land Cruiser, Corolla Indus and Toyota Corolla during their anti-smuggling operations. The net value of seized vehicles are almost Rs6 .2 million. These vehicles were impounded due to patrolling of anti-smuggling squads in the region.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has also seized huge quantity of hashish worth millions along with vehicle during their action from Kabirwala. Customs anti-smuggling squad has also seized an oil tanker filled with 10,000 liters of High Speed Diesel (HSD) in their action. Multan Customs has increased the monitoring of smuggled vehicles and goods to curb smuggling of vehicles in the region.
