Customs Islamabad records 1435.28 percent increase in FED during January

ISLAMABAD: The MCC Islamabad showed 1435.28% increase against an assigned revenue collection target of FED during the month of January FY17-18.

According to details given by Ch Zulifqar, Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad, that, during above said period, the collectorate received Rs142.34million as Federal Excise Duty (FED) against an allocated revenue collection target of Rs9.92million. The MCCI earned Rs132.46million extra revenue against an earmarked revenue target of FED for the month of January FY17-18.
He said the MCC Islamabad has been allocated Rs224.05million of revenue collection target under the head of FED for third quarter (January to March) FY17-18. The Customs Collectorate Islamabad has been earmarked a revenue collection target of Rs21.47million for the month of February FY17-18 as FED while it has been assigned a target of Rs192.66million under the same head for the month of March FY17-18.
The Collector MCC Islamabad told CT that the collectorate generated Rs351.89million during first seven months of FY17-18 of FED against an allocated target of Rs227.31million. The MCC Islamabad posted 154.81% achievement against an earmarked revenue target for said period under the head of FED.
Ch Zulfiqar told CT that the MCC Islamabad has been allocated Rs512.64million of revenue target as FED for the entire FY17-18 while it showed 69% growth during first seven months of FY17-18 against an assigned annual revenue collection target of FED for FY17-18.
He said he is building a new team of customs officers of the MCC Islamabad which will be expected to further perform well.
