FIA arrests two at Lahore airport on fake permit

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Wing arrested two passengers at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Friday.

According to FIA Spokesperson Akram Chaudhry, a resident of Pakpattan arrived from South Africa through flight No EK624. During the checking, his South African work permit was found to be fake on which the accused was sent to FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking and Smuggling (AHTC) department for further action.

During the immigration clearance, his CNIC number was enlisted in IBM system in the blacklisted category, with the history of being deported from Muscat. The accused was offloaded and sent to AHTC for further legal action.
