FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a travel agent Asad Bashir for illegally sending people to United States on forged documents from Faisalabad.
Sources told, that the operation was conducted by Inspector Kashif Nazir Bajwa on the allegation of extortion of Rs48,36,000 from the complainant Naseer Ahmad son of Faqeer Muhammad for overseas employment of three persons in America. A raid has been conducted and an accused person was arrested from Peoples Colony.
Sources told that, accused Asad Bashir has given four cheques of PKR 4.83 million to complainants which were bounced. Sources told that eight different cases have already been registered against the same culprit namely Asad Bashir at Police Station Rail Bazar
During the investigation accused revealed that he took cash from different people and invested into gold ornaments business. He also admitted that he was doing the interest based business with complainant. But no business deed so far has been produced by the culprit.
Earlier, FIA also conducted raids in Sargodha, Faisalabad and Toba Tek Singh, and arrested almost 15 human smugglers. These human smugglers were involved in preparation of illegal travelling documents for Europe and other countries. The officers nabbed the suspect and launched an investigation into the matter.
