PTDC to collaborate with provincial depts

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has approached provincial tourism departments of all four provinces including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) to join hands for the promotion of tourism.

PTDC Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor told APP that the response of all the provinces was very positive and they wanted to collaborate with PTDC for promotion of tourism sector. He said that the provinces requested to provide piece of lands for erecting new motels at various prominent tourists’ resorts. He said that PTDC would also provide all possible assistance to the provinces in promoting tourism.

He said that PTDC was planning to get space on entry and exit point of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route. He said that PTDC would establish its Information centers and facilitate tourists on the exit and entry points. He said that CPEC would further improve the tourism industry of the country, adding that CPEC cultural caravan explored the beauty of overall silk route. Managing Director PTDC said that CPEC would further improve tourists flow to Pakistan and PTDC would facilitate tourists through its services.
