ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Thursday released 80,300 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 43,300 cusecs.
According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1422.90 feet, which was 42.90 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet.
Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 15,800 cusecs and outflow as 40,000 cusecs. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1087.25 feet, which was 47.25 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 3,500 cusecs and 22,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 47,000, 36,500 and 4,100 cusecs respectively.
Similarly from the Kabul River, 15,400 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 2,900 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
