These precious vehicles include Prado, Primeo, Corolla of deferent modals, Alto Vxr, witz, Passo and Honda cars. These vehicles were confiscated from the car dealers when they tried to take advantage from relaxing custom policy in 2012 by illegal importing huge numbers of vehicles.

The customs payment policy was only for those vehicles which were inside Pakistan boarder and had not included the immediate import of cars coming to the country via Afghan border.

The customs department seized all those vehicles on the border and shifted them to Peshawar dry port. Later after the passage of several years the case was decided between the dealers and customs department who paid fine for the release of their vehicles.

However the matter is still hanging in the balance as Pakistan Railways claiming huge amount from the dealers to before shifting the vehicles. He added that the case is commercial in nature and Pakistan Railway is also a commercial entity to earn money. He said the matter is now in the court of law and whatever decided by the court it would be acceptable for them.
