Custom Preventive seizes contraband items worth billions of rupees in six months

KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs is doing its level best to curb smuggling and drugs trafficking.

During the last six month, the Pakistan Customs showed tremendous performance and  busted a huge quantity of contraband goods worth billions of rupees.

Talking to Customs Today, Deputy Collector Customs Collectorate Preventive Headquarters Faisal Khan said that the department, in several successful raids, has recovered a huge quantity of smuggled goods worth one billions of rupees in market. He said that stern action is being taken against smugglers and the mafias to curb smuggling and drug peddling.

The deputy collector also said that during different raids heroin, charas, Indian Gutka, Iranian origin high speed diesel as well as other smuggled items worth billion of rupees were seized during last six month.

He further stated that all the entry and exit check post and being monitored closely, blackest of informers and network to busts culprits have been made stronger than ever so that criminal activities can be examined whereas before any movement the plane of the activists can be wiped out.

It’s our top priority eliminate the country from the smugglers as well as drugs peddlers and there is no doubt that the department is working round the clock as well as giving its best so that revenue of the country is not compromised, added the Deputy Collector Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive Headquarters.
